May 4 2017 ~ Completion of Tentative Assessment Roll
NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE TOWN ASSESSMENT ROLL (Pursuant to Sections 506 and 526 of the Real Property Tax Law) HEARING OF COMPLAINTS Notice is hereby given that the Assessor(s) of the Town of Madrid County of St. Lawrence (has) (have) completed the tentative assessment roll for the current year and that a copy has been left with Judy Hargrave, Town Clerk at the Madrid Municipal Bldg. 3529 County Route 14, Madrid, NY 13660, where it may be seen and examined by an interested person until the fourth Tuesday in May (or other date, if applicable, as adopted by Local Law Thursday May 25, 2017. The tentative assessment roll is also available for viewing on the assessing unit’s website – N/A or the St. Lawrence County website – www.stlawco.org – per requirement of RPTL section 1590(2). The Assessor(s), or his or her designee, will be in attendance with the tentative assessment roll. It should be noted that under the provisions of the RPTL Section 526, assessor(s) or his/her designee, are required to be in attendance with the roll for at least four hours on at least 4 days (unless the number of days is increased to more than 4 by local law. On at least one of these 4 days, the hours of attendance by the assessor, or his/her designee, must include not less than two hours after 6:00PM. Also, at least 2 such days shall be at least 10 days subsequent to the filing of the tentative assessment roll, of which one day shall be a Saturday.
