NOTICE OF

HEARING UPON

PRELIMINARY BUDGET

Notice is hereby given that the preliminary budget of the Town of Madrid for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2023 has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk, at 3529 County Route 14, Madrid, NY 13660 where it is available for inspection by any interested person at all reasonable hours.

Further notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Madrid will meet and review said preliminary budget and hold a public hearing thereon, at the Town Office at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th day of November 2022, and that at such hearing any person may be heard in favor or against the preliminary budget as compiled or for or against any item or items therein contained.

Pursuant to Section 113 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the Town Officials are hereby specified as follows:

Supervisor $11,440.00

                 Town Clerk/Tax Coll. $24,404.00

               Councilperson (each) $ 2,860.00

                    Town Justice $11,714.00

             Supt. of Highways $50,012.00

The Madrid Town Board will have a special meeting on Tuesday, October 4^th at 6:00 pm in the Town Office, 3529 CR 14, Madrid, NY 13660 to review the 2023 tentative budget, and anything else to come before the board. This meeting is open to public.

It has been Rescheduled for Tuesday July 12^th @ 6:30 PM.

Madrid Town Offices will be closes Monday, July 4th in observance of 4th of July.

Pursuant to Section 501 of the Real Property Tax Law, notice is hereby given that assessment inventory and valuation data for the Town of Madrid is available for review either online at Madrid Town Website where it may be seen or examined in person at 3529 CR 14, Madrid by any interested person. NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE TOWN ASSESSMENT ROLL
(Pursuant to Sections 506 and 526 of the Real Property Tax Law)

HEARING OF COMPLAINTS

Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Madrid, County of St Lawrence,
has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year, and that a copy is
located on the Town of Madrid’s website – http://www.townofmadrid.org/ where it may
be seen and examined by any interested person until Grievance Day. Pursuant to
Section 501 of the Real Property Tax Law, notice is hereby given that assessment
inventory and valuation data for the Town of Madrid is available for review. The tentative
assessment roll is also available for viewing on the St Lawrence County website
– www.stlawco.org – per requirement of RPLT section 1590(2). The Assessor will be in
attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll on the following days.

The Board of Assessment Review will meet on May 26, 2022 between the hours of 4pm – 8pm at the Madrid Town Hall, 3529 CR-14, Madrid in said town, to hear and examine
all complaints in relation to assessments on the application of any persons believing
him/herself to be aggrieved. A publication containing procedures for contesting an

The Town of Madrid water district will be flushing the hydrant system Thursday April 21st at 10 P.M.

The purpose of this program is to ensure the water district’s fire hydrants are in good working order and to clean the water mains.
If you experience any discoloration of water, let your cold- water faucet run until it clears. If it does not clear please call the town offices at 315-322-5606 and follow the directions or call the town clerk at 315-322-5760
